Display:  Matrix Orbital 20x4 vacuum-fluorescent display w/ keypad interface
                because the VFD can handle greater temperature extremes &
                and is easier to read in sunlight, and the keypad interface
                is really nice to work with.  All I have to do is establish
                serial communications with the device, and it does all of the
                hard stuff for me.  This thing absolutely rocks...
Keypad:   Grayhill 4x4 matrix-output keypad
                you can use whatever you want as long as it's at most 5x5
                buttons and has matrix-style outputs

There's also the keyboard interface on the motherboard and the VGA card that
could have a monitor hooked up to it for administration use.  Login as root,
there's no password by default.

On the client side, I'm working on a perl/tk front-end so any platform will
be able to use it and have a native look-n-feel...
